On December 23, the 2016 Choral Competition for Staff of Nankai University opened at Tian Jiabing Music Hall. About 1000 faculty members from 22 teams participated in this concert.

The School of Medicine also attended this concert and organized a chorus of 35 members including a foreign teacher. The chorus selected two songs from a famous opera call “Jiang Jie”, which is based on the true story of a female Chinese revolutionist, and gained the Award for Excellent Organization in the competition.
