On November 23, 2023, the 15th Annual Congress of Chinese Orthopaedic Association (COA) was grandly held in Xi'an. Professor Zhang Yingze, CAE Academician, Dean of the School of Medicine, NKU, Secretary General of COA and Chairman of the congress, attended the congress and delivered a speech.

On behalf of COA and the organizing committee of congress, Zhang Yingze extended a warm welcome to the guests at home and abroad, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the predecessors and colleagues of orthopedics for their support. He said that the Exhibition of Chinese Orthopaedic Innovative Achievements Transformation held during the COA congress motivates the innovation consciousness of orthopaedic colleagues, and COA has always actively conducted academic exchanges with foreign colleagues, persisted in the independent innovation, and combined basic research with clinical practice, and achieved rapid development and remarkable progress. He mentioned that in October this year, COA attended DKOU as a representative of the guest country, and signed a Sino-Germany memorandum of cooperation in orthopedics with DGOU. In November, it signed the Sino-Kazakhstan and Sino-Kyrgyzstan memorandums of cooperation in orthopedics. In the future, we will strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, further develop orthopedic diplomacy, adhere to the Four Orientations, serve the national development strategy, make use of the advanced technology of developed countries and give full play to China's population advantages to deepen cooperation, achieve mutual promotion and common development.

The Congress of COA is the largest international academic conference in the field of orthopaedics in China sponsored by COA. Founded in 2006, it has become an academic event with Chinese characteristics and great influence, where the orthopaedic experts at home and abroad gather, and built a high-level and international exchange platform for the majority of orthopaedic colleagues and provided great power to promote the development of orthopaedic cause in China.
