On June 18, at the 18th Global Dairy Congress held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the 2025 World Dairy Innovation Awards, organized by the authoritative international food and beverage media FoodBev Media, were officially announced. The M-ACTION 20 g Liquid Protein product, developed by the NKU-Maction Nutrition Research Joint Laboratory (a university-enterprise joint laboratory at NKU), stood out from over 40 top dairy brands across 11 countries and was honored with the Best New Brand/Startup Gold Award. This achievement signifies international recognition for the research outcomes of NKU's university-enterprise joint laboratory.

The Global Dairy Congress, hosted by a leading global food and beverage consulting firm, is one of the world's most influential dairy forums. The World Dairy Innovation Awards presented at the congress are widely regarded as the  Global Dairy Annual Innovation Benchmark. Each year, the congress brings together international professional organizations such as the International Dairy Federation (IDF), Rabobank, and Kantar, along with globally renowned dairy industry leaders and experts, to share the latest dairy innovation achievements, discuss global dairy development, and explore opportunities for international dairy cooperation.

Established in April 2023, the NKU-Maction Nutrition Research Joint Laboratory was co-founded by NKU and Shanghai Maction Health Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Mengniu Group specializing in sports nutrition and health products. Leveraging the research strengths of the School of Medicine and the Research Institute of Public Health, NKU in the field of food nutrition and health, the joint laboratory focuses on scientific research, technological innovation, product development, and brand evolution in nutrition and health. It has already achieved multiple research outcomes and is accelerating the delivery of innovative, professional sports nutrition solutions tailored to China’s fitness and athletic communities, contributing to the national goals of Building a Strong Sports Nation and Healthy China.
